Here's how to become a Volunteer!

1.  Interested applicants should complete a Volunteer Application Packet and return it to 2503 Holiday Lane Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

2.  Once we receive the application, we will review it and contact qualified applicants* for an orientation/interview. (The purpose of the orientation/interview is learn more about you, for you to learn about the role of volunteers and to determine if this volunteer opportunity is a good match for your interest and skills. An invitation to be interviewed does not guarantee a volunteer position.)

3.  Following the orientation/interview, you will be required to complete a background check, including fingerprinting (volunteers over 18 years planning to work in direct contact with children).

4.  Before beginning volunteer duties, you will receive training to prepare you for the various programs at no cost.

*Qualified applicants should have experience or education in the area of interest and be able to complete a successful background check, see below for volunteer position descriptions.

Volunteer Positions

Nurturing Family Program

• Children’s Class Assistants support the facilitator with the presentation of Nurturing Parenting Program ® curriculum to the children of the parent clients, take notes, and interact with the children.
• Parents’ Class Assistants take notes for the facilitators and help with class setup and materials.

KPC Respite Center

Volunteers assist in the care and support of children at the respite nursery. Volunteers are needed for many shifts 24 hours a day. 

Clerical and Office Support

Management volunteers participate in clerical tasks that support our programs and mission.

Special Events

Volunteers assist in planning events, making media contact, soliciting donations, design & decorations, and much more.
